I am the proud papa of a slotted carbon fiber Apogee with the ss gold anodized liners. This knife is stunning to me with its perfect carbon fiber scales matched against the anodized textured liners, matching thumbstuds, matching clip and screws; to its textured blade spine. All fit and finished in a bomb proof package.

I wish I could show a picture of it but I don't have the hardware or software. (LYFSFUN just sold one on the forums about 2 weeks ago and there is a picture there)

My hat is off to Darrel in creating a visually appealing knife that is built to last many lifetimes.

Thanks Again Darrel.

Kevin

update: I can't put this knife down, which makes kind of tough to do anything else.....

Kevin, you have just been bitten! The same thing happened to me. Not too long ago, I just received my first DDR. A nice slotted CF EDC.....now I'm at 8 of his knives and I have 3 more on order with various delivery dates. I now have direct deposit with Darrel. It's much easier this way....

Dirk,
Great idea on the direct deposit. Although as much money as Darrel gets from me, it might be easier just to sign the mortgage over to him

He has got to be the most creative and prolific maker around.
Congrats, Kevin. I hope it is the beginning of a long relationship with a fine knife.

Dirk,

Do you carry one of your Ralph's everyday? actually do all of you carry a Ralph everyday?

Also, do you have pictures of your 8 knives from Darrel?

Thanks for the responses!
Kevin

I don't know about "all of us", but I carry a CF EDC (solid scales, tip-up carry) every day. Got it a few weeks ago, and haven't left the house without it since.

btw, it's not just a pretty knife. It's rock solid, and outperforms any of my production knives by a wide margin. The high grind coupled with the recurve make it perform well on both push-cuts and slicing+it's the most comfortable folder I've ever held.

Do I carry my Darrel everyday?
Nope. My Krait is reserved for hoilday and special occasion carry. I do however carry an Impulse, which is a Darrel developed/sanctioned copy of his Krait on a regular basis. Works well for me.

The only Darrel Ralph knife I have is the MADD MAXX and it has been my everyday carry since it came two weeks ago. Hope to rectify the fact that I have only one Ralph, do have a small MM in the works, and I am sure I will carry them.
Got to admit that the MM has been an easy knife to carry despite its size.

Sharp Tools, yes I carry an EDC every day. It is almost always Carbon Fiber with fighter style blade. In fact, I really only carry the ones with carbon fiber. I can't bring myself to carry the Ti frame locks. They are too nice and I don't want to scratch them.

I'll see if I can't get a picture of them a little later. it's bedtime for Bonzo.

Still playing with my cheezy PalmPix attachment for my PalmPilot. When I get the fuzziness out of the shots, I'll post the pictures.

I carry my small Apogee every day. Scratches happen. Life goes on.

I just got my Madd Maxx a few days ago, but it has become my EDC since day one. If it gets scratched I will just have to live with it.

Keith.

Sharp Tools - Yup, I carry one of my Ralphs daily. Usually its one of my EDC's, Apogees, or ArcLite. As I type, I've got an EDC Illusion and the Camillus EDC pulling pocket duty today.
