Custom K390 partial tang EDC at 64 HRC from david Williamson, semi mirror polished by me... this is my second K390 knife and I love this steel.

Honestly, it looks like a joke, as if the blade isn't even there.... Dang...

At the risk of embarrassment (because I know he's looking) I've very much enjoyed looking at Darrins knives and reading his posts in the makers forum. Though I don't have one of his knives, I'd like to remedy that one of these days.

Very nice work, and always a pleasure to read your posts as well Ankerson.

Guys, please, don't you see that this is an unfinished work? :D I mean, seriously, there are two more polishing steps to go but I am too lazy to do it. :) But anyway, I am pretty happy with 3rd generation PM steels from Bohler-Uddeholm. I just wanted to show you that mirror polish on steels with 9%+ of Vanadium is possible (with the right equipment, of course). Not easy, not cheap, but it can be done as you can see. And it takes these supersteels to another level. I should be doing mirror polish on a REX121 folder for my friend from Czech republic soon and I will compare 1st gen. PM to 3rd gen. PM from Bohler.
