This is a LARGE chopper, 24+" , or could be considered a heavy primitive sword. Its thick too, a full 1/4" in 5160.
A serious chopping tool, but not for te faint of heart or weak of wrist. Swinging this one will make muscles.
It bites deep on both hard and soft wood, green or dry. I have used it for processing firewood camping, and for doing tree limbing after felling. A sweet machine with micarta scales to give good grip.
Includes a handmade leather sheath by the maker, a sturdy case that suits it.
Darrin made this beast with in house heat treat, and I have been the priviledged owner. But its time for it to find a new home so I can put the funds to other purposes.
