Darrin Sanders / Jim Ankerson Collaberation - Camp Knife / Fighter.

Very nice! I like the bolsters, although that is personal preference. It reminds me of a Hudson Bay type camp knife with a more useful tip and better handle. I also appreciate the lack of the "knuckle busting" for kitchen use... I like the steel choices also.

Thanks. :)

Love the design. I have a similar blade from Big Chris, but somewhat shorter and in 4V and it is a very useful shape, great cutter and perfect for tip work too. Initial review, Jim, shows great promise! Thanks Jim and Darrin. Now, do I need a longer bladed version ? :)

Maybe. :D

I don't think there is much this design can't do well from what I am seeing.

Everythings are good unless the grind that look obviously off...

I told him that it didn't have to be perfect as it's the prototype and I would be testing the heck out it. ;)

It's not a competition piece for a knife show.

And they won't be in 10V, they will be in CPM 4V and flat ground.

The 10V was for Darrin and I.

Thanks man. :)

Saw you got on Darrin list.

The design reminds me of the SRK.

Classic lines. Has an old school look to it.

The steel and metallurgy sounds outstanding.

I'm looking forward to what the full flat grind with no bolster looks like.

The level of finish will be higher with CPM 4V. :)

Should look very nice really.

If anybody is concerned about the quality of the finish, here is a pic of a similar but larger knife I did in 3V a little over a year ago.

Very cool to see this collaboration make it to production in the Blade HQ at Shot Spyderco video!
Looking forward to it, will probably be my first try at 4V which I would especially like to try at this kind of stock.
