Two Titanium gems today, one frame lock and one liner lock, both absolutely distinct.
Seems like as I age and my taste in knives mature, only very unique knives make it into the collection. These two embody this philosophy whole-heartedly. Have multiples of each so thought I’d pass on the goodness to others.
First up is the one the only, Kwaiken. As if the name wasn’t cool enough, the actual knife is even cooler. This is one of the original flipper tab versions, numbered, in titanium and with the IKBS bearings. Flips like a dream even with hardly any traction on the F-tab. This guy has been carried and used and sharpened but also carred for too and not abused. Nice stonewash on the blade and vapor wash-cracked-ice beskar pocket clip. Original box and everything included $135 Shipped

Next up is another gem that pretty much blows you away as well with the quality. I own a few Sebenza’s and know a thing or two about good frame locks. This one picks up almost where the Sebenza left off. Starting off so right with S35VN steel in a very nice stonewash the 3.5” blade boasts a thicker tip and overall blade width. However it is more like the Hinderers and Striders with the integrated oversized thumb studs acting as the stop pin(s). Not only are the handles more ergonomic, more grippy with traction that looks and feels good, but throws in an interchangeable steel lock bar and over travel stop (on inside). Nice thick barrel backspaces and 3-d molded pocket clip all coming in at under 5 ounces. The other thing that makes you wonder if bearing knives are almost always superior is the effortless hydraulic closing action and fly out launch speed made possible by the good friends at “we do flippers right”.*) Darryl Ralphs cross stamp on backside of blade and one of the nicest overall presentation boxes seen in a long time. A knife that can easily compete with $400-$500 knives makes one wonder is there really any other competition in the $200-$300 range? Original box and everything included $175 Shipped
