dart vfd controller

I just came accross this locally. its used to run a beaver bandsaw and has a 1hp baldor motor. would something like this work for the er-48 horizontal from beaumont?? if so, what might i offer the fella for it? im lost when it comes to vfd stuff

It has DC output. You will need a DC motor.

I bet it would work great. The packages from Beaumont come with a 1 hp motor. I don't know about fair price, however.

Edit to add: I found a new one on ebay listed at $189 for the controller. It looks like a new Baldor 1hp DC motor can run from $300 and up. I'd say if it's in great shape, offer $200 for the entire setup and see what he says.

Wow, I would love that piece on my grinder, a great find. I don't know about the price though.
