It was actually pretty stupid. Luckily some of my costuming friends were there and I got to hang out with them. Stood around for a few hours waiting for everyone to get ready and then walked a few blocks through town and back. There were a few hundred zombies of varying quality. About half of them weren't in character which totally ruined it. It seemed that only a few people knew who I was supposed to be. If I ever do it again I'm going to be a Zombie Daryl.
My Canvas CF TGLB is not getting here until sometime next week (being mailed on the 19th). But that's my luck...I'd have loved to meet him just to see what he is like in real life and then get pics/autographs.

For the record, dried apricots look like shriveled up ears. I used to have a hairdresser who threatened kids who wouldn't sit still with her drawer collection of "kids' ears".

No, thank you! All I did was give it to him. I clipped one of your business cards to the back. I told him that a knife as badass as the one he carries deserves much more than the crappy sheath he carries it in.
That was after his panel. They were trying to usher him out but he was more than happy to oblige my request for a pic with my crossbow. He was very gracious to my whole group. Even took a pic with my wife because I told him that her putting up with all of this makes it possible.
I did tell him he needs to some how get the sheath in past the continuity people so mine would
be more accurate. He laughed about that. He also loved how dirty I was. When I shook his hand, he took my hand and showed his manager and said "This right here is called authenticity!"
