Dashain Holidays and Festivals Deals for 10/1

danboy, I'm surprised you're still even LOOKING after your 4 blade frenzy a few days ago!!! I wish I had that much latitude in life....:p

Don't get it twisted shaggy, I'm as broke as the next guy I just have unparalleled poor decision making qualities about me! Doesn't hurt to be 32 and still have no kids to pay for I guess. Besides, I have to look I can't not. It's like having to look when getting blood drawn or ingrown toe nails cut out, or something like that. The hope is that I will not BUY anymore.

Is it possible to get a better picture of the chuppi? I'm pretty sure I want it. Even if I don't or shouldn't, I want to see more.

Items like the kerambit look really cool, but I just don't know what to do with them. I guess that's how the HIKV works though.

The Kerambit is an awesome little knife and I highly recommend it (Kinda sick that we consider a 9" knife little). I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to hold/use it and now its my carry choice. I carry it in my back pocket for easy deployment in a "GIVE ME YOUR WALLET SUCKA!" situation. Its a perfect drawing position for how the Kerambit is intended to be gripped. If you are on the fence about getting one watch a video or two on technique and you'll probably be convinced.

Thanks folks, you are all far too kind.

To be perfectly honest, there are specific ones that I patiently wait for, and those are the ones I'll try to shark. This one exactly matched my specific criteria (of course the type of wood handle was open), and was on my list; I'm glad it showed up earlier on here than I expected it to.
I have already missed 3 that are on my list.. so I'm a little behind on my own personal acquisition standards. :-)
Now... that just leaves.. 21 specific ones to get.. and then I'll have my "must haves".. haha.

Only 21 more.. yikes.

Hey Ta2, how did you like the 20" Sira? You get it yet?

Yes sir, received it on the 3rd.

The handle has already been refinished and prettied up. It's on par with my other blades, and is giving my chitlangi a run for it's money for wear on my shoulder rig. Haven't seen anything else come up that is on my list yet, besides the KLVUK's I picked up.. so I'm just awaiting patiently :-)

Cool. how do you assess its utility for bushwacking?
Was thinking i need something faster and with some reach for clearing the brambles and briars.
I got a couple of 26-28 Oz choppers on the way already.

Seriously wondering why I ever would need a hatchet anymore. It does less, and is harder to maneuver than a good kuk.
and you cant chop an onion for crap with a tomahawk either. I do find the hammer and pick ends of a Tommy quite useful, for driving stakes and snagging firewood around and....other....pick stuff.

So I usually i pack one of these too anyway...

Tomahawks are fun as heck to throw though.

What did you do with the black paint on your KLVUK? I thought the black was leftover from the forge but it is a coating. I found some rust under it, so i scrubbed it off with a scotch pad and 3-1 oil.
I hadn't intended to take it off, but there you go..
