Thanks to the moderator for guiding me to the page on Buck Knives' web site with the list of date codes. My 110 doesn't match any of them (and the web page said no date codes were used before 1986). There are two dots before and after the "110" stamp, with the dots arranged side-by-side, as if one took a colon (
and rotated it 90 degrees. Is my blade an aberration?
The original knife was purchased in 1983, but returned to Buck for warranty work in 1988 (or 89) when the bolsters loosened. I'm not sure if they sent back the original blade in a new handle, or a completely new knife.
