Dating a Fiddelback

Is there interest for having a sticky that could act as a guide for dating older Fiddlebacks? There has been such an interesting evolution from the early days until now that it interests me to know more about the stages- what year the bulls eye lanyard tube came about, when the wood liners started/ended, single metal pin, etc.

A consolidated post stickied would make a nice reference to date the OS a a person just picked up.

Viewing the albums in Andy's FOTKI site provides a fascinating pictorial evolution of his knives. Maybe a good place to start.

yes sir!

i have 2 of the three. thanks to a "heads-up" from a good friend,I bought the bottom one from Arizona Custom Knives a few months ago.
 
You'll like dating a Fiddleback, but they don't pay for dinner usually. Thats my only complaint...
