Dave Kauffman has been featured in many knife magazines and publications. His work is some of the best I have seen. Resently he was commisioned to make knives for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to help raise money to buy habitat for Elk.
Here are two examples of his Hunters Supreme Set.
The larger knife in the set is his #13 - 3 3/4" blade, 7 1/2" overall, narrow Droppoint
The smaller knife is the model #19 which has a 2 1/2" blade, 5 3/4" overall length, capper.
He uses mirror polished ATS-32 Stainless steel in his collector Quality knifes. Mastadon Ivory and Sambar Stag were uses for the handles of these two sets and as you can see in the Stag set the bolster is engraved with an Elk antler.
His knives are also available in Field Grade. ATS-34 with a matte finish and Black Micarta handles.
If you have any further questions about these knive feel free to give me a call.
Phil
