I found this forum through a search on Dave Murphy knives but the post I found was back from 2006.

My grandpa, Virgil Anderson, was a hobbyist knife maker and enthusiast from Portland, OR. I believe he and Dave Murphy were friends; his collection includes maybe a dozen Dave Murphy knives. My siblings and I inherited the collection, which includes his own work as well.

We don't have any intention to sell but we would love more information if there is any out there!

Corrie I bought a Dave Murphy knife from a guy on Ebay about 5 years ago. He had a fairly
detailed item description with details about Dave and the steel he used. His name was Ted Frizzel.
His knife company was Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works. You can google it up and maybe get some info from him?

Corrie, sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Ask a moderator to move your post to the B. R. Levine knife i.d. subforum here. Lots of very knowledgeable people there. You will have to be a Gold member or better to ask about value. Click on the little triangle at the left bottom of your post for a mod. Welcome to the Forum--KV
