Hey guys, ive been searching high and low recently to try and locate or identify Dave Canterburys Butcher knife. ive been to auctions, yard sales, flea markets, ebay and forums. you name it. ive become dead set on hunting for this exact knife. Im a pretty good collector of vintage tools and old butcher knives. so this one is sort of my grail. im aware Jeff white has started producing a modified version of the knife for Dave but im only interested in the original. I know its out there. maybe you can help. Im hoping to identify the company, model number, any real information on the origin of the knife

I'm unclear on what you want from us. You seem to have identified the knife, but the title of the thread is asking for help identifying it.

What exactly are you hoping for us to do to help? Is there a proper name for but you'd like to have identified?

I apologize. i clarified the OP. Im looking for details of its origin, manufacturer, a date would be amazing. any information related to its original tme in manufacturing and sales that may lead to a concrete identification. So far i have nothing on it. its a complete mystery to me and many other collectors and fans of Dave's. make me even more interested in finding it :D
