Dave's knife on Dual Survivor?

I bet Cody has a secret closet of Skokum bushtools and Woodlore clones somewhere in that Abo-house of his, maybe Dave gave him a pathfinder.... :D

I don't know much about Cody, other than what I have seen of him on T.V., I have seen a few radio interviews he did when his books were coming out.

I have known Dave for over 3 years. We have exchanged several e-mails.
He does a lot to help church groups teach their youth. I sent Dave, his family and his church groups pennies with the Ten Commandments printed on them.

Dave is a great guy, I learned a lot from him, he was going to sponsor our book project before he got involved in the Dual Survivor, now Dual Survival Project. But things have working out and we have different sponsors and things are going well and I am VERY happy to see Dave and Cody doing so well also. :)

Yup, the Mora #1 is full tang, that is the one I got in from Ben's Backwoods.

ummm... that's NOT a FULL tang. a full tang would be like all the ESEE fixed blade knives, where the tang bisects the handle slabs. if the tang surrounds the tang, it's not full.

sorry, not trying to be a vocabulary nazi, but you can see the examples of full tang Moras that i posted above and you can see the steel of the tang at the top, bottom and butt of the grip.

LOL, not a problem fixer, what would you call it then, a through tang?

Just wondering, thanks for supplying the pic.

Love The Mora #1 Great Knife Great price! Like to See ESEE do a A Mora style Carbon steel Knife! with a Price point
with the Great ESEE Logo on it! I think it would Be a BIG Hit!!! My 2 cents worth

yeah, as noted above, a stick tang.

a thru tang is probably more like the Terrasaur or most of the ESEEs, a full tang that protrudes on the butt end... but i could be mistaken and again, that's a techie detail that nost people won't worry about.

depending on what you're doing... but many people will say that a Mora will do 95 to 99.9% of what most people want a knife for. it's that other 5 to .1% that concerns me.

if the choice is a Mora or no knife, then a Mora will do most things. if the budget allows for something more substantial, i'd rather have an ESEE or something else reasonably priced that i don't have to worry about subjecting to some rough use.

i'm really not trying to bash Moras... nor am i trying to damn them with faint praise... but that's probably what it's gonna come out like.

for the price, they're a good value. unfortunately the ones i like are more expensive than an ESEE 4 and perhaps about the same price as a 5 or 6. at that point it's hard to justify the price of a $120 Enzo or $140 to $150 Mora.
