Dave's Knife World

I actually got into a 45 minute phone call with Dave. He's a good guy, but nothing he has on his site is in stock. He just gets them from other dealers.

I ordered two knives from him... a couple weeks went by..Nothing... So I called. He then told me none of his dealers had the knives I ordered.. So he refunded my money. I was thinking though, if I never called... I would have most likely just lost out.

I would have to say call the guy. I think the number on the site is like his personal cell phone.. When I called he answered "Hello, Who's this?

Not sure?
 
Maybe I should go into business like that. No overhead. Just sell whatever you can buy from someone else?
 
Quite a few of the smaller online dealers operate in that fashion. They wait until they have enough orders to cover the minimum order from a wholesaler. They do not stock any knives except possibly some of their fastest movers.

Go with a dealer that you know stocks knives and will almost always have them in stock (sometimes a dealer can not avoid an out of stock situation). Make sure you go with one that has a top notch reputation as well, even if you end up paying a few dollars more.
