David Broadwell

I'm sure most of you who read the knife magazines or collect custom knives are aware of the investment grade knives of David Broadwell. Well, I gotta tell you: 1- he also makes exceptional tactical folders and also hunting knives, and 2-he goes more than the extra mile for the owners of his knives.
I had contacted him because I had acquired one of the LDC folders he had made for Les and it was used so I inquired about the cost of refinishing. Well for just the cost of postage, I now have myself a brand new knife!
Which BTW, is maybe the nicest and smoothest folder I have and I own a few by some of the top names.
He has also answered every question I've had about his knives by email promptly which is not always the case with custom makers, especially if you havent spent any money.

Yes he makes expensive collectible art knives, but his hunting and tactical knife prices are not out of line with today's market.

Anyway, I have dealt with quite a few custom makers and bought alot of knives over the years, but I can't recall better service nor a nicer guy, so I would like to heartily reccommend him. Thanks for listening.

I too have bought knives from Dave. I have bought knives from several custom makers and purveyers. Fine fellows, all. However, I will say that Dave is the only one who has always followed through on every conversation and discussion. When he has said that he will get back to me in a few months with sketchs or whatever, he always does. And the knives he made for me, while customs, were not the most expensive knives.

Dave is great to work with on a desigh/custom knife, and his work is excellent.
