I have recently purchased a custom Kydex sheath for my Assault Shaker, from David Brown of BuyBrownHolsters.com
All I can say is WOW
If you are in the need for a custom Kydex sheath, this is the man and company you want to do business with today. This was one of the easiest transactions I have done over the Internet. I went to Mr. Brown's website and found the perfect sheath for me. It is both a neck/belt sheath, this is possible by adding a tec-loc to the sheath, very cool idea!!
I then e-mailed Mr. Brown about the model right-handed, color, and price. I received a reply in less than 12 hours, it should be noted I e-mailed him at night time. The price was very reasonable, in fact less than I thought it would cost, but don't tell him that!!!
I then sent in my check to Mr. Brown in less than 3 days I received my package. I also ordered over the weekend so it would have been like next day service during the business week.
On to the sheath, I ordered a black Assault Shaker, right-handed, with an additional tek-loc so I could wear it on the belt. What I got was nothing short of a tactical work-of-art sheath. It is extremely form fitting. I released the AS from it old Kydex home, and it slid it into its new home. The AS mated into the sheath and basically became one. Mr. Brown has perfected his talents to trim off every bit of excess Kydex to this sheath. All the edges of the sheath are smoothed to a near glass finish.
I then tested the strength of the sheath's hold on the knife. I laced up the sheath to the neck knife configuration. I then spun the knife in a circle trying to dislodge the knife, nothing happened. I then placed the knife on my belt, and could easily withdrawl the knife from its home. The only BAD thing is that it has not left my belt.
So in closing, if you need a very secure, solid construction, slim profile, no excess Kydex sheath, at very reasonable price, and need it now you CANNOT go wrong with a David Brown Jr. custom Kydex sheath.
