On June 12 I contacted Mr. Brown requesting a quote for sheath for a Busse Combat AK-47. He replied with the quote and a time estimate of one to two weeks after receiving payment, which was sent through PayPal on June 15. He acknowledged receiving payment on June 19.

On July 12 I inquired about the status of my order and he replied that it would be sent in a few days. On August 16 I inquired again and he replied that it would be sent that week.

The sheath never arrived.

My perception has been that Mr. Brown has a good reputation here, which is in part why I decided to attempt to purchase his product. After waiting almost 3 months for what was offered in at most 2 weeks, I have given up on the expectation of anything happening with this through any other means, since PayPal will not get involved.

I'd rather not post a copy of our electronic communication unless necessary, but I am able to do it if questions arise.

I'm glad all ended well! Dave is a GREAT guy and very reputable, sometimes things may just get a little behind or mixed up. for a happy ending!

Hey Guys....

This is the first negative thing I've Ever heard of David...

In my book he's not only a brother of Kydex dust,, he's a good stand up guy..

Glad everything is Straight..

Dave is a good guy, he just threw his back out when the Mojo was torn out of his hands at Blade 2006:eek:

Have to agree with the rest of the guys here. I got 6 sheaths coming from David and he has 4 of my knives. He's kept in contact with me and has replied to everyone of my emails. I totally understand about delays when you're dealing with custom sheaths or knives. Things don't always move at the rate we would like them too but we're talking about custom work here not buying something off the shelf at Walmart. They'll get here when Dave is done with them...I can wait for quality work and I've never heard anything different about David's work.

And if Cobalt hadn't ripped that knife out of his hand at Blade, David's back would be in better shape to keep up with the high demand for his work. Mean ole Cobalt! ;) :p

I'm not questioning Mr. Brown's reputation, quality of work, nor trustworthiness. I stated some facts. If in doubt, let David himself come here and refute what I wrote, if he so chooses.

David need not refute anything, he is truly an honest man with a heart of gold and a soul made of integrity.

My guess is that this is a case of shiit happens and certainly not a case where Dave tried to get over on you. Therefore, the apology he offered in the past is certainly more than enough.

One cannot get rich screwing one person out of ONE Kydex sheath, not even if he made it with diamond snaps!!!

Back injuries and severe pain, it causes stuff like this.................often

Dave must be extremely busy. I haven't seen him posting around the Hog zone:p So you know he's very busy.

Obviously, Mr. Brown does not need to refute anything. I'm only saying he is the only one who may. Again, I'm not questioning his honesty or integrity. I did not say he tried to get over me, and I certainly did not want, need or expect any apology.

My original post reflects MY experience with Mr. Brown, not my opinion about him. I posted again when the sheath arrived to close the issue, which is what I believe to be the correct way to proceed.
