I bought my first custom made knife from him and it is so sharp it is scary. It's a fixed blade bowie style with the top edge (clip) sharpened as well as the blade. He ships real fast, asks questions that indicate he actually cares about his customers and their satisfaction. Further, he apparently possesses a Secret Super Power that allowed him to get my knife moving in the Postal System after it became stuck and had been sitting still for almost a month.

I don't think you could go far wrong buying a knife from David.

I've looked at his knives, and he is the custom maker I am most interested in.

David is good to go. I have 4 knives from him and my wife has one. All of his knives are meant to work and that is exactly what they do. I have a fifth knife on the way. David is very easy to work with and his customer service goes above and beyond.
 
I have been fortunate enough to acquire a handful of knives from David; some general BF sales and one commissioned job.

Through out all orders, David has been considerate, friendly, and easy to communicate with. A large chopper he made me sat in a USPS hub outside of Chicago for 2.5 months this summer. With out prompting of mine, David was dealing with the issue as much as he could on his end (postal case opened, emails to Canada Post, etc) and updating me along the way. Eventually, the package made it out of it's static location and onward to myself.

On top of Davids courteous business practices and genuinely friendly demeanor, his knives are great cutting and slicing tools. Comfortable handle designs and overall, to me at least, tools made for completing tasks efficiently and effectively.

I will keep buying knives from David, most certainly.
