I just got this beast from David. A beautiful job on a gorgeous knife (sword?!). It was finished in exactly the manner I requested and one couldn't ask for better communication with a knifemaker. It's an A2, 17-1/4", 12-3/8" bladed monster finished with textured blue and black G10. A convex edge, too!

It is obvious that this gentleman's background is as a machinist: the precision is amazing.

I think I'm going to have to send David an e-mail. I've got one of his smaller offerings. It's just a baby next to that behemoth.

Thanks for all of the compliments ! This Blade has been the Biggest Surprise of all of the Knives I have made to date. Pull up a chair , here is the story. The Blade pictured (the first one made) was originally a special order that someone backed out on. After it was complete the fella that ordered it decided he could not afford it at the time (ok, thanks :confused: ). To try & recoup my loses I posted @ $185.00 + shipping ($ 8.75) . The Blade above literally sold in 15 minutes ! And to top it off I took close to a dozen more orders. I felt like I should honor the original price to those that showed interest at that time.I am finishing up the last one of those right now. After doing the math I had to up the price (when its all figured it came to an increase of $26.25) . There is quite a bit of time , materials & consumables that go into that Blade and due to the interest I decided to keep it in my portfolio , but at a slight increase in price (so sorry , but I was not covering all of my costs at $185) so the total cost , shipped CONUS would come out to $ 220.00 (that is 211.25 + 8.75 shipping). I have taken orders for more at that price, for guys that are interested , the tentative ship date for a new order is about 3-4 weeks out. Thank you guys so so much for the interest and thanks to all of my customers that are showing up on this thread , You guys are the BEST !! I honestly mean that :) That is the story on the "Chopper" , the increase , I assure you , is not greed , it is simple mathematics . Thank you for understanding :thumbup:

It is perfect right down to the color of the scales. David could you PM me when you get a chance. I would be interested in 1 of these as part of a 3 knife set. 1 This size, 1 in an 8 to 10 in blade, and then a smaller one in maby a 4 in blade.
