Bought this new from David, have been carrying it for several months. Haven't used it much, though, there aren't even any character marks on it yet. I carry it with my keys in my pocket and the knife hanging out. Knife snaps into the sheath very securely, I can't imagine it falling out. I put the lanyard on to make it easier to draw and to hold onto once it's in hand. You could remove the lanyard and actually put the knife on your key ring as you would a key, but I thought that always having your keys in your hand to use the knife would be awkward. My fuzzy pics don't do justice to the damascus, it's gorgeous stuff.
