Just received my first knife from David Winston and he does beautiful work. We had a small miscommunication (as much my fault as his) and when the knife arrived the first time, it was not what I expected. When I called David, there was not one second hesitation. David said " if its not what you wanted, send it back and I will make it good". He had the replacement to me in a few days.
it doesn't get better than that and I would recommend David to anyone.

I bought two knives from David. Both were packaged well, delivered on time, and just plain great knives. I highly recommend him as well. I have a decent little collection of knives. Never before, though, had my wife complimented me on one of them, until she saw my David Winston Model 22. I'm going to order another blade from him for her.

:cool: ...Is this thread great or what???...It's so tiring to keep reading about "makers" who seem to be more than happy to take a guy's hard earned money and then just fade away with it...AFTER making nothing but lame excuses for shoddy workmanship, no delivery at all or just making no effort at all to communicate...I just may have to look into a knife by a maker like Dave or one of the others who seem to be just nice guys as well as talented knife makers...:thumbup: ...well done fellas...:)
