Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Davis Special in CPM-154/Buckeye Burl. The design was provided me by a client and I liked it so much I decided to make two. This is a light utility knife that you won't know it's on your hip.....the contoured handle is very comfortable. The mirror finished blade was hollow ground on a large radius platen all the way to the spine with no overshoot. The blade is ground from 1/8" stock and the tang is tapered to about .005" for a light in hand feel. The dyed buckeye burl is stabilized and is contrasted nicely with the red liners. Superb fit and finish. No sheath yet so you may specify right or left hand. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $350 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com. Thanks for viewing and your comments are welcome.

V/R,

TK

TK,
If I just hadn't had to pay my taxidermist, a good problem, I'd own this puppy.
Awesome knife my friend.

Muchas Gracias Doz - congratulations on the harvest - what'd you get?

Hmmm...buy this knife or keep my 25 yr marriage streak alive. This is what is known as a conundrum.

This looks to be a Great Pattern, certainly unique and worthy of multiple repeats.
A small FB in a belt sheath is my favorite for an EDC. This knife however is too big for me, perhaps because i am small.
I would like to see the next of this pattern in the 6-7" OAL range (7" being Maximum) and with slender handle slabs making for a smaller handle girth.
This will be a Great EDC for the lucky buyer.

Thanks for the in-depth feedback KJ - appreciate it :)

Ah yes! I hear this all too often. As a happily married man of 40 years, responsibilities sometimes stand in the way of desires.......tough being a man sometimes. :)

2014 Buck

Wow, that is a Big Buck in Rut, thick neck. Very special to take with a bow ! Looks like a Whitetail with an atypical rack, maybe in Saskatchewan ?

Doz:

You're right - who needs another knife when you've got a harvest like this? Congrats
