Started reading this last night and it is just great! If you like ZPAW/SHTF fiction I recommend reading this one. Who else has read it? I'm just to where he befriends his neighbor (i know...long ways to go) and it is just, well, addictive....want to read it instead of working today...hehe

right on.. i'm glad you're liking the book...:thumbup: it is a really cool read... i couldn't put it down...

www.permutedpress.com has a lot of the books i would recomend... you caoul also do a amazon.com search for day by day armageddon and you'll get some other really cool titles to check out..

i recently started reading the "plage of the dead" the morningstar strain... so far it is bad a$$... there is a second book in the series, and soon to be a third...:thumbup::thumbup: http://www.themorningstarsaga.com/home.html

I bookmarked permuted press...and I am on ZS...it is how i found BF :D Locust Star on ZS... was really into that Neurosis song when I registered...still am FWIW.
 
I picked the book up after the recomendation in the recent books thread. Great book I should finish it tonight. I am a little disapointed with the book construction quality however. I have read a TON ov novels and never had one whose page binding was this fragile.

Get day-by-day

I get bored easily when reading...but this book holds my attention. Alot of that probably has to do with the style it is written in (journal entries).

The author of Day by Day Armageddon is an active duty Naval Aviator as well. He's got a discussion forum HERE.


I've been plowing through Permuted Press' zombie themed books for almost a year now. Most are pretty good reads.

I just picked up the road (didnt know it was an oprah book....gahh) Looks to be a good shtf/paw book. ill report on it after i read DBDA

Really like to get the Keene books. They seem like they would be good too. Cool name BTW!
 
Not a bad book for a Navy guy:D I actually really enjoyed the read and it's nice to see he has a sequel coming out.

And it's much better than The Zombie Survival Guide.

The Walking Dead comics are pretty good too. My wife bought me the four hardbound volumes for Christmas.

man.. the Walking Dead comics are awesome...:thumbup: they're probably some of the best comics out there... DMZ is also another good one..
as apposed to buying each individual issue, i opted for the graphic novels..:) i have #'s 1-8 and i still need to get #9...:)

on a side note... a friend of mine from S.F. has a few paintings, in an art show right now, here in Santa Cruz.. opening night was on Sat. and it runs for another month or so... the theme for the show was, of all things "ZOMBIES"... it's really cool.. there is some amazing/morbid pieces up in there...
 
After reading the first chapter at the author's website, I was hooked and ordered it. I can't wait till it gets here..always loved the zombie genre.
 
DBDA was a great read, I have read all the walking dead as well, until a few issues ago.
WWZ was really good too but a couple of the stories were rather silly, I thought.

haha.. :D right on man... you're going to love em'...:thumbup: i am about 80 pages into Plague of The Dead.. it'm really liking it so far.... Thunder and Ashes is supposed to a great read as well...

EDEN is another good one, for you folks to look into... also check out permuted press... they have an awesome selection of ZPAW style books...:D
