I got her finished today and am very happy with the way it turned out. It is pretty much the way I received it except for the satin finish and the rounded top spine.

:D

Wow that's awsome did you have to remove scales to give it the satin finsh?

Yes, I removed the scales so I could give a good satin finsh to the Ricasso and the butt of the handle.

looking great. There must be something in the watter where you live. How far are you from Spokane (or Spokompton as we like to call it)?

OUTSTANDING!!! What sanding process did you use Tim? Flapwheel?

I hand sanded the flats (similar to what I will be doing with this FBM), 120 then 220 grit paper.

The blade didn't need sanding after the paint removal, I just used my lathe with a 4" wide X 12" diameter scotch brite wheel. You do need to be carefull of the etchings or they would get removed.
