Finally got away for a few hours and brought the knife from Robert Dark, and my ML Nessie.

The Dark does a good job of chopping, carves nicely too.

The spine is nice and square, and will not only throw a spark, but can scrape the magnesium too. Pretty cool.

It was hot, and it's so dry and brown.

This is Corriganville Park. Tons of westerns were filmed here.

This cement pond was where the original Creature From the Black Lagoon, African Queen and more were filmed.

Love them both, the osage on the Nessmuk feels excellent in hand, really a nice little cutter.

Tough question, I really like every knife in my collection now. But I'm still most partial to my NWA knife. It just feels so perfect and cuts like crazy.

great pics T.... those are some great looking knives.... i really like both of them... they make a great combo... add a SAK and you're all set.....

Cool pics T, looks like some ruff terrain, I wouldn't want to be out there without water. Gene

Yup it has been really hot too. Most of the local terrain I hike is high desert type stuff. A boonie hat and sunblock are my best friends :D

Very nice blades! I'm curious on the specs of the Robert Dark knive. Is it convex? Would you consider that knive a chopper? I really appreciate the functionality on the design of that knife. Bravo!

The blade is 6", so falls under normal chopper length. But sliding my hand back on the handle, I am able to chop smaller branches easily. To me, this is more a mid sized camp knife.
It's not convex, it has a full flat grind with beveled edge. It makes a nice field blade for sure.

Hey tknife, I found the older thread started by you when you purchased the knife! I knew that knife looked familiar! 01 tool steel and a great looking sheath to match, I really like your design! Still wondering about the grind. Thanks

Thanks, and Robert does excellent work too. I'm all about simple, tough and fuctional.

been looking at getting one of Roberts knives for a while (funds always find something else) This just solidifies my desire to get one. I really like his hunters with gaurds. They look clean and functional. Great pics and thanks for the good report Tknife
