Dayhike - Point Reyes, CA - Tomales Point Trail

Thanks Sasha, yeah, I love the cliffs here. These secluded coves are nice too, some great secluded spots for picnicking all around .

Just wanted to add a couple "approved" pics of my lady :D, and a couple on-back pics of the pack.

Look at that, she even had a scarf and she still had to steal my shemagh!:D

The pack looks fuller than it'd normally be, because I have an extra jacket for her stuffed in there.

Hey rksoon, she picked a good one at least, really nice smile she has in that one and that's a great place for a picture. For me personally since that one's much less than public I'd probably be trying to get Lisa to pose for some shots I couldn't post here. I love that particular setting in general and the mist in the background makes it perfect. That looks like an awesome area for hiking!

Haha, and I wouldn't blame you for trying! Although as you can see from the tracks in the picture above, there was some light traffic. There are some out-of-sight spots though...:D

It really is a nice setting though...serene, very quiet. Great area for an easy, relaxing, hike, and with some elk watching to boot. Incidentally, I realized after yesterday that I really need to get a pair of binoculars, and a decent camera.

Man that is beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing Russell. I love the NorCal coast, it reminds me of Chile.

Stingray, you must have been deliberately airborn to come out with a broken hip, Ouch! When I was riding more I fell all the time but mostly head first :o

Hehe, the same thing can be said for some of the trails in this city :D

Does look like a great area, I don't blame you for wanting the binoculars and photography can become quite addictive.

Dude, she's gorgeous! What is she afraid of? Women, I'll never understand them...

Regarding the broken hip:
I'd like to say I was going 20mph downhill and attempted a 10ft. gap jump, but the truth is I was going pretty slow, and went over some logs wrong. I was sent over the handlebars and tucked and rolled, no big deal.

It was one of those get up and walk it off type wrecks, only it took me a half hour until I could even get up.

Figures, I just landed wrong, and things broke. I guess that's what happens when your out of shape and not used to getting banged around like when you were a kid.

Oh well, I'm almost back though. I'm out of the wheelchair, and am getting around fine with just a cane. Hopefully I'll be back on the bike this week. Maybe hiking next week. We'll see.

Ok, sorry for the thread hijack, carry on.
