Got up early this morning, loaded up the bear control Pelican Case, the camera Pelican Case, the Manfrotto tripod, the blow out pouch woods kit and a few other goodies.

Grabbed a hot coffee and a couple of biscuits and scrambled eggs and headed off into the hills.

First stop was some Macro photography. I borrowed a sniper crawl/rest mat from a buddy that hunts, knowing i would be lying down in the damp wet woods a lot to get up close to the photo subject.

macro shots of various mosses: most pics taken on super macro and max zoom, 1cm away from subject)

the black object in the water drop is the lens ring reflecting back!

Some neat shots in there! Do you find multiple pelican's a tad heavy? I used to keep my nikon in a 1500 case but it was just too heavy and now lug a more standard nylong camera bag. I keep a nylon seal-all folded up in the bottom of the bag in case of rain.

this little mushroom was a 1/4" wide:

nah, i love my Pelican Cases, i have about $2000 in cases, some for my tree climbing equipment (CUBE case), a couple big ones for my Mobile Minor Treatment kit, a big one in orange for my chainsaw trauma kit, lots of smaller ones and a rifle case for my axes.

:)

Something about the last pic I like how it sort of having a little garden on top of it. I can see little people living there... Do you think i go just a little far lol

O.k i posted late ... i was thinking about the tree with the mashroom on the side of it.

^ just email him.

high speed multi frame fire sequence pics coming up! pay attention to the two pics PRIOR to the ignition pic.... :)

gimmie a minute or two.

Nice shots. You might think about adding a small diffusion disk to your kit. It will help even out the lighting and keep the highlight from blowing out.

A small collapsible 12" or 22" disk is perfect for this.

12" and 22"

Ok here we go, high speed multi frame fire sequence pics. I edited them down from 60 frames - its about 1 frame every 6 shown.
