I will post pictures when I can. I have a Double Cut, MAGNUM Black Canvas, NO Choil, NO Swedge, ROUND Pommel Tank Buster that I modded ever so carefully to remove the first ridge on the spine. It is a very worthy enhancement IMO and I am only selling it because I am in a pinch. No Sheath included.
I worked VERY slowly grinding down that ridge and it never even got hot to the touch so I know the heat treat was not affected. Since I ended up with a shiny spot where the ridge was I sanded the rest of the spine and handle perimeter to a satin finish. Saber and primary grind are still double cut. It does have a touch of a patina but another short visit to a blasting cabinet would make it good as new. It is extremely comfortable now.
This Tank Buster is a user but has only been on a few outings and has not seen any hard use. I have used it to do some limbing of freshly cut soft pine for shelter building demonstrations at the WA State SAR Conference and on a couple overnighters. No prying, throwing or anything like that.
I called Busse Combat and a spa visit will cost $25 or so to have the Double Cut blasted to freshen it up. It has never been sharpened so you can tailor the edge to your taste.
