DDR Krait Info?

I purchase a DDR Krait last week. It's marked "PROTO" on the inside of the back spacer. I believe it's about 20 years old, so there's not a ton of information about it available on the internet. Just wondering if anybody knows when it was actually made or any interesting details about this model line.
