Deactivating S.A.T feature?

Before I ask I want to say I like manual opening folders since I am used to them. Is there a way to deactivate the assisted opening feature on a Trident or FlashII?

Open up the handle and remove the spring.

Should work, but then again the AO is half the fun of the knife..

I'm interested in this too. I like the AO but sometimes I prefer a manual knife just for the simplicity.

You'll have to take it apart and put it together the easy way....without loading all the springs!

Its pretty easy to do. Just take it apart with the blade open or the springs will shoot everywhere as soon as you get the two halfs apart.

There are some small parts to keep track of if you ever decide to put it back together.
