This is the second edition of my Dead mountain chopper.
The only difference from the 1st is a slightly raised clip, for a more aggressive look.
To keep the cost low, it has what I call a users hand rub finish taken only to 320 grit.
This is a go knife, not a show knife!
Here are the specs.

OAL - 15.25"
Blade - 9.25" long, 2.25" at the widest point.
Steel - .250" 5160 (heat treat done by me in a digitally controlled Evenheat kiln)
Handle - Tan linen micarta (it looks a little orange in the pic, it is not)
Features - sharp clip, SS pins and tube.
Sheath - 11oz veg tan, hand sewn.
100% sole authorship, made in the USA.
Price -SOLD
Thanks for looking!

That is a BEAUTY! If I had the scratch, this would be choppin down my Bamboo patch right now.

Um, wifey, you know that awful patch of bamboo that you have wanted me to clear for the longest time, well I found a most useful tool that would make quick work of it, and it's really not too expensive.

CRASH....BOOM! Sound of cast iron frying pan after whizzing by my head and crashing into wall.

I think my friend Tibor baught the Bowie that you had for sail
and I had the pleasure to hold it in my hand - I can only say awesome!
Great knife, specs, balance. Awesome work !
Meep it up!
Andy

It is 24oz, and is perfectly balanced right at my makers mark.

Ben That is one great chopper and a great price! I really like your designs and work.

Are you planning on going to the OKCA Show in April?

Thanks Ryan, Yep I will be at Table I 13. How about you?

Thanks Mike. Someone better snatch this one up soon, I don't plan doing to many of these, recurves like these are pain in the butt to grind!!
