After years of flawless use my KMG gave out today. I was only grinding down a ti clip so I wasn't even pushing it. Power just stopped. Nothing wrong with the outlet and the KBAC-27D won't power on. Any trouble shooting advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There are two fuses, usually in the control box. Open it up and check if one is blown. My unit pops one every so often. I keep a box of fuses on the bench. Obviously, unplug the unit before opening it up and changing the fuse.

If it's not the fuses, use a voltmeter to see if power is getting to the terminals where the power cable connects to the VFD. That would be the first step of troubleshooting, to see whether it's something you'll need to send it in for.

The first thing I checked was a blown fuse by there are no fuses in there as far as I can tell. Didn't see any internal fuses on the schematics either and instructions state a fuse should be added in-line.

My multimeter is acting wonky for some reason. I would think if it was motor issues the VFD would at least power on, no?
