I get asked all the time if I ever have any "rejects"....and I honestly never do!
Because I toss 'em in the trash in a FIT of HERCULEAN ANGER!!
Thankfully that rarely happens...
:foot:
BUT....
I do have some knives I have "set aside for later". Sometimes because they were giving me fits...sometimes because I lost interest...sometimes because I honestly forgot...
And this is one of those times.
I made these blades a LONG time ago...
They were from some forged-down W2 (something I rarely-almost-never have in stock).
Well...they've been sitting on my bench bugging me for long enough.
It's time to do something with them.
So, come Wednesday....there's going to be a KILLER deal posted....
Just a heads up.
These knives are functionally perfect...just "cosmetically flawed"....
Here are the blades, waiting to be glued up:
The steel is oversize 3/16" thick W2 which has been clay-coated for a hamon line.
These are some BEEFY Santokus...meant to be hard-use camp/kitchen knives = BRUTES (not fine choppers).
Handles will be synthetics with aluminum pins.
Kydex sheaths will also be available!
Eyes peeled!!!
Dan
p.s. standard price for these would have been $250....but Wednesday's price is going to be a HECKUVALOT lower than that.
