Yangdu, I love this place. Thank You. These are beautiful knives you have today. We are all lucky.

All wonderful! Don't miss the the little jewel there though. That is the first siru in a long time, and we haven't seen one in that size _and_ with a std. bolster in I don't know how long.

Except for the pachthar and katunjes and 12" salyans I have pretty much gotten rid of all my smaller knives as they don't fit my hand that well, but I may make an exception for this beauty if someone doesn't save me. :D

The last sirupati was just over a month ago. Got it for my son; it's one sweet little knife! Whoever gets it won't be sorry.

We are seeing a lot more Uddha swords which is nice, and I hope to get one someday.

I love the look of the scrimshaw, but frankly haven't made my mind up about it yet. I'm not sure if it would end up wearing off or not if you used the sword at all?

I suppose it may depend on how it is scrimshawed. If it's etched in, it'd probably be OK. That sword is nice. I'll be keeping track of the DOTDs; my birthday's coming up in March. ;) Yangdu never fails to impress.

Perhaps a scrimshaw handle is a good candidate for a thin superglue finish, Norm. Buff it just enough to take some of the ultra-gloss off, and it might still work out as a user.

Or even just give it one or two coats, enough to solidify the ink in the surface?

Will someone shark-up that sweet little 12" sirupati? If you don't love it, I'll buy it from you. You can't beat that offer with a stick.:D

it looks wicked sharp, and very tempting :) but i just bought stuff. which arrived today. yay. so i'm saved for a little while. that AK though, almost... my nifty villager seems to have quite a good edge on it, and the biggest little kukri only near the tip - it's quite polished and smooth near the bolsters. mmm. almost too cute to mess up with my sharpening. it's SOOO cute.

Thanks to whom ever got it :D
That's one very nice BDC!!!!!

You're welcome... My first purchase in a while. Had to spend money on other people for X-mas. Those two villagers from this batch are great looking.

I love BDCs. I think they look best in black horn, but I needed a neem fix.

Does the BDCs have big handles? Is its shape round or retangular ? Thanks !

And that neem does look spectaculer ! Color sort of greyish brown and the pattern ! Is it really 13 oz ?? If it is, must be one of a kind !
