Wow! Talk about a blast from the past. Don't have any by Murali. Wonder where that old Gelbu came from!?

Love those big Villager Chitlangis. Another first there with the horn...

have emailed for "20 inch 29 ounce horn handle Jange by Bura. All fittings are white metal. Another perfect rig for $100 even YBB." -finally get a nice big kukri! ebay be gone!

i should say, my name is chris by the way! i am a wiccan though, but thats summat else. not easy being in the uk, trying to get round customs, and get quality goods. nightmare last time trying to get my 26inch kris cutlery katana. what is a "jange" by the way? i liked it as it looks beefy (much prefer beefy swords and blades, thats what attracted me to HI). one thing that has been rattling in my head, is does yangdu, or women, make kukris or such, or is it taboo in nepali culture?

wow look at that UBE with wood instead of horn what a nice piece hope it finds a good home.

and that Kobra looks great it matches the pair I have now, damn missed another chance at a threesome

Can't believe some of these are still here! I have a satisal wood UBE and the wood is not nearly as nice as on this one. And a neem GRS. Didn't see any 21 or 22" GRS's at all for over a year, and now in the last 2 months there have been a couple of them as I recall. Not to mention the old GS.

i'm seriously tempted, but i have many thousands in bills (car timing belt, insurance, dentist) about to pop up all at once - expected but not desired. so, until that contract comes through... poor me, unless, and VERY unless it's something i cannot afford imho to pass up. i must wait.

is it me, or does the depth of the cho in that large first villager (sold) seem a bit deep in proportion to the blade length? it's a damn beauty, and the lines are so wonderful to behold, but strength at that point? mmm.

If that were an 18" or 20" GRS, I'd be very tempted (I still am). I know nothing about the GS or Murali; any comments? The UBE looks awesome, but I haven't seen a lot of comments on them, either. Any additional info on these would be greatly appreciated.

Don't think it's an issue Bladite. Those deep chos are standard for the chitlangis and kobras and gelbus for that matter, and have never heard of any blade problems because of them.

I know nothing of Murali, except the name. The Gelbu is an older one as indicated by the longer bolster. It has great lines though. The UBE's have been pretty scarce for a while. I'm sure there have been less than a dozen of them offered in the last 2 years. Also, most of them that I have seen have been by Kumar, but since he is ill it looks like Bura is trying his hand at them.

All you have to know is the price here is at least $25 off, and it has great wood. The blade design is unique but still surprisingly effective. The only problem I have ever had with them is that you have to re-scabbard them with some care, as if you just shove them in the tip will catch and could tear the scabbard side. That is the same with the movie models. Good Zombie knife. :D
