That Sgt. Khadka handle looks nice. Is it thinner too or just an illusion due to the flare?

It's put away, so I can't measure the handle girth, but it is comfortable in the hand and not unusually thin. The part of the handle between the ring and the pommel is thinner, but that's where your little fingers go, so it should be thinner. And the butt flare makes it look thinner than it is.

If you look at pictures of older khukuris, especially the Atlanta Cutlery blades (see threads about the Longleaf blades in the Cantina) that are about 100 years old, many of those handles taper a lot from the bolster to the butt (with or without a wide flare at the end), so the fattest part of the handle is between the bolster and the ring. I've found that to be a very comfortable handle shape.

Saw that one a couple weeks back but was on the fence since I wasn't sure if I'd like the length. However, after getting my 15" M43, I totally regret not picking that up.

Nice grab! I've got my eyes peeled for the next one...
