If I wasn't already saving up for an ATrim, that sword would've been gone before the picture was done loading.

Wow! another AK bowie for 95 smackers! Ya know, one day I'll tell you guys about how much I love the AK bowie;)

One day...after this wedding...i'll be a dangerous shark again;)

Who's this Dave guy and why does he have Satori's mask?...same taste in swords though  ;)

Wish I had the $ for that Bura AK. Lovely lines on that knife ... and it's the next obvious step in chopping from my 16 1/2" WWII.

... But 2 kids have birthdays this month, and neither of them is big enough for a toy like this. Sigh.

Not to be an enabler or anything Tom, ;) , but my Bura 18" AK is my go to khuk and has been for years. I had two, one in horn the other in wood. I kept the horn one and the wood one moved in with someone else. I miss it though. Bura does a great 18" AK.

Sure, Bob. But we both know where that would lead. Right now, I've successfully kept the virus under control ... through cold reason, and will. But if I weaken, and spend my kid's birthday present money on this ...

... then soon a 15" or 18" Sirupati with an especially sweet sweep to the blade will show up, and I've only really got choppers - nothing to go "swoosh" with through the air. Over time, I've already decided that I want a pair of BASs, one to give to each of my boys when they hit their respective 15th birthdays. Won't happen soon, but a guy should plan ahead.

I already KNOW that when the right Sarge knife comes up, I'll shark it away ... and a hunter at the office would likely want a second one, as soon as he sees the first. And my daughter would feel desperately left out if I didn't get a baby chitlangi or a 12" Sirupati for her as a rite-of-passage, especially if her brothers are getting special stuff.

And before you know it, I'll have a barrel o' khuks, just like the rest of the cantinistas!

Should that be "20 inch movie model"? It doesn't look 12 inches longer than the 18" AK...

John

Yeah, I saw Yangdu probably got the numbers switched. I figured everyone would figure it out. A 30 inch 20 ouncer- that would be light duty- but real fast.

Looks identical to the one I got last week, and of course a great deal because of the scabbard. Amazing how the kamis can be so consistent from one blade to another.

Regards,

Norm

Thats a beautiful sword and a heck of bargain too. I wish it was my birthday, cause my wife couldn't get "really" mad at me then. :(

Shann, In my opinion, that sword is one of the best that HI has come out with. It's a good 'un.

I think so too. I'm not a knife maker so I wasn't sure if that was remarkable or not. But I can imagine cutting up leaf springs and then pounding on them. The WWll 18" used to come out at 27 to 28 ounces like an assembly line product from Ford.

Except the tires didn't fall off and it explode.

Figures. Another 20" Chitlangi offered as a YBB on a day after I've been working midnights. Sleep is starting to seem overrated to me. :grumpy: ;)

Bob

I don't think I could have resisted that sword much longer...just beautiful.
