Whoever got that carved handle AK is going to love it - it looks just like the carved horn kumar I have.

I got the little BDC. It's a twin of my other one. Beautiful, beautiful, little knives and I couldn't not have another one at $70. Now with two, I can look into sending one off for a kydex sheath and maybe some kind of buttplate without pining for it until it comes back. Perhaps something like the pen knife buttplate....

That big villager was a really nice snag. I think sharking villagers is an art into and of itself because the cost factor is removed from the equation. Kind of unlimited class sharking... Moreso even than small knife sharking, which is a little different because there are often quantities and varied types available at once as opposed to one shot, get-it-now-or-maybe-never-see-it-again-or-see-just-one-more-that-you-like-a-little-better-tomorrow villagers.

Hurray!!! I got the little Budune!!! My first Bura and also my first snag from these daily pics. Very exciting!!! I can't wait to get it. Thank You Yangdu!!!!

Andy

Excellent snag !

I have a 15 " Bura special with horn that looks very much like yours.

Enjoy. :)

I would love to buy that 1 myself. Notice the wide belly ? At 12" 9 oz there should be a wide and shallow fuller.

Astrodada: At 12" 9 oz there should be a wide and shallow fuller.

Thanks for the insight. I don't have enough experience with this to picture the blades from the stats. I just know I need some smaller khuks for my survival kits (so they'll fit). And a Bura...

Your's got an excellent shape, doesn't look like smaller khuk...

Real nice.......must be fast as lightning.......please do post a report when you get it :)

I wouldn't hold out on you. Not with how I soak up all you guys posts.

Well I got my Badune Special by Bura today. Very cool knife. Its so lite compared to the CAK that it almost feels like a kitchen knife rather than a Khuk. I took it into the warehouse and gave it a once over. Hacking at pine 2x4s, it cuts well (nothing like the CAK) enough for the survival kit. It fits perfectly in the kit. Then I sanded down the handle (Dababe Wood) to get rid of the rouge. It looks a lot better now, and I haven't even started adding the coats of boiled linseed oil yet. Very happy!!!! Bura is truly a master. This blade has a broad fuller that extends from the curve to the tip. It gets quite thin (~0.1") at the center of the fuller. The blade tapers perfectly from 5/16" at the bolster to the tip. Very well done blade.

I saw a thread somewhere in the sticky section about linseed oil finishing the handle and it mentioned using armorall also. Why do that? Where is that thread? Anybody know?

Andy the Armorall is used along with the Tru-Oil not the linseed oil the best I remember.
The Tru-Oil/Armorall combo was something thought up and used by Walosi to get the super finishes he got on wood. Walosi was the master Woodchuck.  :D
