Deals for 11/09 -- Pix and Four Beauties

I like mine a lot... after touching up the edge, it now rides in the door pocket of my car where the design of the sheath doesn't matter. It replaced my GB Chitlangi as my car knife. The loop protrudes just above the edge of the pocket making it very accessible very rapidly.

I think it makes more sense for me to defend the interior of my car against some road rage wacko with a nice, intimidating knife than with a bullet that could chase him some distance from the vehicle.

Not that I don't have a car gun...!

I would love to pick up that kerambit, however I am currently saving for a hasiya and then after that a sword I have had my eye on. More money would be nice... :D

hey skyler... ive been browsing and noticed that hasiyas dont come with sheaths? is that true?

what's a kerambit for anyway? see i have a nice safety mechanism goin for me right now. I don't wanna buy a knife i don't have a use for so i'm encouraged to wait for a 12" pen: the compromise knife that both slices and chops. meanwhile my lust gives rank to the kerambit so when i see the pen i say "but what you really want is a kerambit" and resist.

that was prompt. that thing is ugly. they only mention it as an agricultural tool once and the whole page concentrates on the martial arts aspect. I don't like that. i would rather the author spend more words on the historical/ritual significance than make it even more frightening to all the sheep.

Does the kerambit have much in the way of agriculteral or ritual application?

I think the kerambit was developed primarily as a defensive weapon and that is its heritage. Why avoid that? It is just as legitimate now in that role as it ever was.

I thought of the Guardia Civil hat as soon as I saw "Synthetic Sarki." Of course it is a leather hat... but it looks shiney :D

if a combat knife's what it is, that's fair enough. course there's the old existentialist "defined by our actions" philosophy which i support to an extent. if you never fight with it, it aint a fighter. however, after readin about it, talk about a can of worms,
