Congrats to both Cul and Phil on your Tamangs, you'll love them. Bawanna, I've got a good feeling about another Tamang for you. That model likes to fly under the radar.

Now, the Neem wood handle on this particular model is quite stellar. Plumb blows mine outta the water, and looks sharp with that forge scale. I say oil that thing and dip it in urethane, IT'S PERFECT!! As for the sheath, mine has an adjustable loop as well, but pulling it all off without a frog looks wicked clean and just overall awesome. One of my favorite overall packages I've seen lately, right along side Bigbore's AK Bowie with the Nadam wood. Think that's what it was called at least. Edit: Sadan wood, I was close.

Congrats to everyone else as well, all fine blades posted today. M-43 is nearing the top of my list, or a nice beefy AK. Best choppers I have now are a 15" BAS and 17" Dui Chirra. I long for something I need both hands to pick up :D

Ooh boy, just noticed the Tamang is a Kumar as well...sorry BB, but that cemented it's spot as my favorite blade posted in recent months! Every time I look it's just as gorgeous.

kinda new at this and still deciding what is on my get list and what isn't....the Tamang is one that's definitely made the list....looks like a good light blade. I REALLY like that forge scale finish...if I could I'd get all mine done that way and save the Kami's hours of polish work!

I REALLY like the lines on that knife...

Congratulations on that Tamang, and I think I just added one to my "want list". That is an absolutely gorgeous form to that blade, and if anything, I think the scale improves the looks.

I wasn't sure what about it made a tamang, so I searched the forum for a bit. I'd rank that one easily at the top.
 
Yea, I've been pretty lucky lately, been looking for an FF and YCS for at least 18 mts plus, a Dui, tamang, and Crow Knife for about a year, and I got all of them rather recently. I am feeling extremely thankful this year!
 
seax came in today....oh it is glorious!

MUCH larger than I had imagined....wicked sharp!
