Deals for 2/15 -- Pix, villager and more good buys.

Hmmm,

I can't find any other 15" YCS Kardas offered. Longest offered yet! Heaviest!

I think this is the second without the inlays (uncarved)

Only a couple with scabbards.

Looks like a unique knife to me!

Eric.

MauriRob, you could have had the whole bunch for $340.

Wouldn't it feel so good to do that?

Dear Yangdu,

I take them ALLLL!!! BWAAAHAAAHAAAA.

Sincerely,

MauiRob

Almost as good as it would feel to post right after that and say:

"email sent on ALL"

:D

I would be interested to see how one of the larger YCS Kardas, well sharpened would perform in comparison with a Swamp Rat or one of the other big knives like that of similar size.

What is a balance Kukuri? I surmise its specially balanced, but is that it? how does it perform?

cheers,
--Dave

How big are the YCS Kardas gonna get? I blew this one up to full size. It is freakin' huge. Handle is a two hander. The size is deceptive since they all seem to be in the same scale regardless of size. (Except the 8.5 inch one today.)

Eric.

I'm a slow shark today, I would have given my first born for that bura villager WWII.

Grob, I won't hold you to your first born offer, but I got the villager. :D

It's only the second DOTD I was ever able to get, but I'm happy with it. Shoulda ordered that YCS while I was at it...

I got the sirupati... I'm a big fan of the hill walnut on villagers. And, I think that's the first traditional bolster on a long thin blade I've seen since I've been here.

Of my two 14" YCS Kardas, one is 12 oz. and the other 14 oz. Yesterday's was tempting at 14"/18 oz.

Yep, as I said this was the first 15"er. Also the first several last year came with scabbards, but then the kamis switched to sheaths for the next half-dozen or so. Now yesterday's 14" and this 15" and back to scabbards and no inlays for the first time. (Although there may have been one or two in the past with just partial inlays from Kumar.)

Norm

All of these knives are unique one-of-a-kind items in one form or another, which makes "getting them all" impossible.

Yes I got the 14 inch 15 ounce villager balance khukuri by Sgt. Khadka. Horn handle. $70 delivered ! I tried for the WW2 myself but begging sharks can't be choosers.

Just when I thought I had all I needed.....

Another great DOTD!!!!

Ya, some Snarf Shark got it on the DOTD.....LOL!!!!

Besides Snarf Sharks have good taste in Khuks :D

Just an update on the YCS Karda I got from this DOTD.

It is listed at 15" and 19oz, but my measurements show it to be 14 3/16" and 18.2 oz. Just for the record.

Can anyone tell me how these measurements relate to a normal 14" YCS Karda? Norm?

Oh, BTW, I love this knife. So nice.

Thanks,
Eric
