I had similar feelings but I do think it will make a good companion piece with the Bahadur and Tirtha's Non-German Bowie; and I just got my tax refund and will power was weak.

Money sent for both.
 
I agree, the German bowie is a beautiful design. I bet it's a great working blade, too. A lot of grip possibilities with that handle.

I don't have anything by Bura so am willing to trade my rajkumar version straight across for yours.
 
I've never seen a Bura 14" BDC over 20 oz. You got a real nice one here from Rajkumar, plus it's white metal and a great handle; personally I wouldn't part with it, but YMMV. Good luck in any case. :thumbup:

The German Bowie looks like a two-handed Bahadur. Look at that bevel! It's almost 2/3s of the blade width. It should be a handy piece for sure. I have two Tirtha's and I like his stuff! I really enjoy seeing these new designs. I also like the old designs resurfacing. I have a 10.5 inch BDC by Vim and it's the neatest little khuk. Really too small to do much with, but I've been thinking it would work well trimming small bushes. That 14 inch BDC should be an awsome all-arounder. That Gelbu wouldn't be too shabby either for a general use khuk. Take care and God bless
 
Great and good looking Bowie, especially gratifying to see it has a shiny polish, not the dull forge finish so often offered these days.

Of the kamis whose work I have sampled Tirtha is my favorite and Vim is tied with Dil for second.
