I received an email from Auntie statting that "I'm sorry someone sent payment for the gelbu" so she has to ship it to them. So I missed out on thos particular blade, last night when I was sleeping I received. An email from auntie basically telling me what shipping cost would have been. I replied saying I would send payment later 2 day as I'm on my blackberry now at a truck stop, as I drive trucks for work. About 2 hours ago I received an email saying someone else sent payment. I'm pretty sure Yangdu isn't going to tell 2 people they won dibs on the same khukuri.
I don't understand what really happen & wanted to speak up, because if somebody decided to send payment without response from Yangdu saying to send payment, that's wrong & unfair to the H.I. Community
The general rule of thumb is.....customer sends email for item wanted, forum name, name, address and intended method of payment. Then customer waits for Auntie to Respond before sending payment. Auntie Yangdu will respond with either an email stating the item is yours and give you a invoice for the total cost including shipping.......OR.... She sends you an email telling you the item is already sold. Auntie tries to be as fair as she can be about the sales, If anyone has problems or questions, Please contact Auntie so that any issues can be resolved.I just did my first HI order in some time and was a bit confused myself about the new ordering and payment procedures. There is a post by Karda explaining the process at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=735020 and that links to http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198282, but it does not go into detail about ordering/payment conflicts like this. Let's wait until Yangdu or Karda weigh in on the best ordering procedures. I can see this being a problem if multiple people start sending in payments on one item, so we had better let the business folks set us straight on the best way to do things.
If dirtypaulie gets today's GS that should be a fair resolution as it looks like a beautiful specimen.IF, and that's the key word, this happened as it appears to have happened, then this deal needs to be backed up a notch or two.
