Deals for 2/27 -- Pix, D-handled Khukuri and more good buys

I just compared pics and it looks like the handle itself on this one is slightly more curved from bolster to bolster, and the rear of the D guard is raised up just a bit higher. I believe the front of the guard is about the same though.

Correction: I'd say about 1/2" higher in the front and 3/4" in the rear. Good adjustment.

With all due respect for a spectacularly distinctive design:

This one shouts out "Klingon" to me for some reason.

Hmm, could be, but it is much deadlier than a d'k tahg, even the new 18" version is shorter than a mekleth, and it's way more manueverable than a batleth. :D

So which would you rather have, the D-handle at your side, or the 4' batleth sitting at home? You never know when you'll run into your own traitorous Duras who will need killing! ;)

well, i'd want a folding pocket batleth actually. barring that, a minbari fighting staff - that would rock. oh yeah.

but if we're going all out fantasy, i want a variable sword, slaver shield and all :)

The good thing about working again? I have a little disposable income.

The bad thing? Coming home and seeing what got sold while I was away. :)

These specials just get better and better. I'm continually amazed.

I'd rather have a phase plasma rifle in the 40-watt range . . .

. . . after being in the 40-watt range it'll be a little warmer. Not much, just about 40 watts worth of warmer. I can hold it without gloves.

I just recieved the Kumar Karda, and cannot express how pleased I am! This knife feels perfect in the hand and the craftsmanship in both the knife, carving and scabbard is excellant.
For those of you that do not own one of these, please, put it on your list. This knife can be used daily for all things that need cut and it will treat the HI virus without chopping up stuff.
Honestly, put this on both your lists (yours to own and the one you give as gifts).

Yangdu, thank you.

D-handle and Villager came today, boy are they beautiful. This D-handle is nice but I might take some of the sharp corners off. Think if I was on a sandbar I might be liking this better than a bowie. Never thought I'd hear myself say that.

Thank you Kami Bura and Yangdu!
