I received these three Khukuris and HI R-6 donations from Jim for Feed the Kami's Fund. Jim made the cammo covers to keep the leather/wodden scabbards safe.
Great work by Jim and Dharan Kamis.

Excellent selection today. Like that R-6 and its sheath. Thanks for your efforts of support Jim

That R-6 is very very nice looking! I wonder how it looks in hand...

The R-6 is my favorite of the R series. It's a rock solid belt knife with both a business-like profile yet enough sweeping lines to give it some soul. That sheath is fantastic and fits its personality very well:thumbup:

It'd make a heckova daily carry piece:thumbup:

Hey there Yuma, you are going to love that R-6! I haven't taken mine off my belt since it came in the mail.. What I really love about it is that unlike a kukri, you get to wear it all the time. Everyone loves it.

Issun,

Here is how one with an antler handle looks in hand.

that is a really sweet looking knife, Ill bet that turns heads when it comes out to perform a daily task

makes opening the mail a lot more interesting Ill bet

I could probably sell 50 of these R-6's in a weekend! It is just the perfect size for an edc knife, at least for work like I do on a ranch/farm. I can't wait for my leather to arrive so I can start on a sheath.

E-mail sent on the first tin chirra pictured:
16.5 inch 27 ounce Tin chirra with US AirForce cammo cover. Satisal wood handle. $145.

Hope I am not too late!

Edit: Got it! Now the "long" wait begins. ("long" is a relative term, relative to the size of your HI addiction. Did they invent teleportation yet?!)

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order the leather from? I am getting ready to make a sheath for my WWII and am trying to find good places to get leather.

Thanks.

I was asked if I could make covers by some of the military personel that I know. they
wanted the the cases to blend in with their uniform so they wouldnt stand out so much. My personal kukri the one that I carry alot I made the cover out of a old faded jean It blends in with my pant and really dosent attract a lot of attention.
The marine desert camo is hard to come by. It is unusal in that the marine corps emblim is imbeded in the material at various places. This assures you that it is the marine desert pattern.

These are made by Dharan kami's? So they are not made in the Hi shops? If Yangdu or anyone else has any info on these kami's I would appreciate the background info.

I am actually in the process of completing the order and deciding if I will go with Tandy or Wickett & Craig. Whoever gives the best price I will go with. I should have ordered some already but I have a few projects and need to wait for some other deliveries to arrive before I can figure out how much I need.

I'm hoping to find a local place to buy it. I need to keep looking.
