If I had the money...the D handle would be coming to Ohio...

That GRS is beautifully done, and the wide belly is just shaped perfectly. Wishes wishes wishes. Getem boyz.:D :thumbup: :p

Beautiful deals today, too.

The Bura Hanshee and the BGRS are incredible deals.
I wish, I had the money.

So which is the rare one?

i'd say the hanshee, but we've seen at least one more this year. that's about it. pretty rare, yes?

Just what IS a hanshee???
Is that a description, or a name???

Damn, had to be out today and just getting on! Another 18" D-handle and it's definite now: Bura is for sure pulling up the rear of the guard and it is a definite improvement. Mine was the same across the entire handle length, the first 18" in antler was up a bit, the second 16" in horn was the same, and this second 18" here and 4th overall is way up. Very nice work. Just as well I wasn't here as I don't know how I would have covered it!

IMO the rare one is the 18" hanshee. It almost looks like a WWII. Don't believe Bura has ever made one of his "hanshee" models that wasn't 15-15.5" and 20 oz.

Wanted to mention that I have a pile of BGRS's, but none of them really has that fat style to the blade that the old models were known for. Kind of a blast from the past and a great deal for someone. Also just realized that I don't have one in satisal (just a villager). Pretty knife and good stuff today.

Note on Ambak wood;

Yangdu says Ambak is a fruit tree found in the south of Nepal. She does not know anything else but will find out.

I would have been very tempted by the wooden handled Sirupati ....I have a nice 15" by Amtrak, but,
Unfortunately, I was working.
I have to do that sometimes.

yeah, i have a ''17.5 inch 29 ounce Ganga Ram by kumar. Satisal wood handle'' Pre-UB that is fat and leafy. it's definitely a king among the choppers. really am going to like comparing it to the AK i'm finishing - that should prove feisty.

definitely a fan of the fat leaf blades, the BDC and FF being SOOO wonderful as well. more more more.

is it me or do the pen knives very much remind one of a linger/beck WSK? the survival nuts^H^H^H^H advocates should be all over that. haven't noticed, but have PKs come through with wood handles? color me leery, but buffalo horn doesn't always do it for me.
