I got the wood-handled Bura Hanshee sold last week- it's a fine chopper, and I'm sure someone will give today's Hanshee a good home.

Hats off to Hanshees!

Look at that Hanshee! And the buttcaps on both the Salyan and the PK are really nice.

Great stuff today, as always.

Those Salyans are so sweet. I have one in antler that I clutch everytime I have a fever or hear a noise in the night. It just makes me feel better. I have a Rose for cutting down any would be attacker, but the Salyan is a comforting blade. It almost has a heartbeat. It sooths. My wife chuckles at my razor sharp teddy bear, but it has to be held to be believed. It's perfect and close to any real magic I have ever seen. I highly suggest you get one if you don't have one yet.:)

bwray, hope you got that Hanshee. Nice drop in the blade, perfect weight for serious chopping/carry- heck, yours is an ounce heavier than mine!

Hot for Hanshees

I'll take the Hanshee and the pen knife. Email sent.

Look at all the elk antlers guys!
I'd guess that's on it's way to the kami's.
How many knife handles do you figure are there...40,50, more?

For what it's worth, I believe this example of the Pen Knife is the epitamy of what a Pen knife should look like. Generous handle (3.5" - measured horn along side), deep, nicely curved belly...How can it get better.

It looks the closer to the Pen knive on the Himalayan Imports site than any have in the last six months or so.

Of course I would like to hear Dan's take on the knife in question.

Thanks soupah. Got it! My next move was going to be to ask you about yours. I bought this one because: a) horn handle - my first on a HI khuk; b) got the magic numbers, 18" & 28 oz; c) looks similar to a GRS which I've been sharking for for over a month. I actually don't know a hanshee from a banshee, but it looked good and there's no time for soul searching when the water's full of sharks.

Would appreciate any info you've got about Hanshees in general and your new one in particular. Have you sharpened yours up and tried it out yet?:D :D :D

Looks good Yangdu. Thanks a lot!

that's a particularly good looking pen knife... if it had neem wood, it wood'a been mine ;)

and the remaining neem handled beauty, well, no paycheck, no knife. oh well.

next!

Wow nice offerings today, bet its all gone by now. This shark was late, wife had to go to the doctor, puppy went all over my passenger seat, luckily I had a seat cover on it. lol Not a good day.

Gotta go wash that seat cover. Oh the joy...

That being said I wouldn't trade her for anything.
