Email sent on the R9. i need another small belt knife like i need a hole in the head, but this one just looks....cool:)

Jake

Edit to add...WOOHOO:) I'm the lucky winner of a very interesting knife:)

Holy Smokes, where you guys at? This is a great DOTD line-up:) If the wife had not MADE me buy a couple hundred dollars in dress clothes last night, i would have snapped up a couple of these beauts!
That R-9 looks like a buddy-blade to my favorite AK bowie. hmmmmm, might need to make a tie on saddle sheath for it to attach to the bowie of the MCC. Dang it, always creating more work for myself;)

Jake

E-mail sent on the villager Pen Knife. I'm probably way too late, but heck, you can't win if you don't play. ;)

Sarge

YEEHAW!! "Done Deal", I've been eyeing those 15" Pen Knives ever since they were introduced, and waited hopefully for a villager version to show up. It did, and I snagged it. It strikes me that the 15" Pen Knife looks very much like a shortened WWII, so it ought to be a good all around useful khuk.

What a nice lineup! That R9 was a great snag. That's a beefy WWII as well.

Come on, boys; don't let miss Yangdu down. Go get 'em.

argh! got me on this one Eric, just a matter of minutes :)

i will wait until the next Katunje Yangdu special comes up,

Alex

Eric, IMNSHO they are all very nice but that one is the pick of the crop. Nice snag. Beautiful neem wood on that one. I have one in neem but it does not look quite as fancy.

Regards,

Norm

Norm,

My brother in Colorado recently asked me (only half-jokingly) when I was going to send a HI Khukuri his way. I guess this is the one. Given our respective locations, I won't get to see it in person for a while. I am confident he will be pleased, as I have been.

Eric

Jake?

You bought a couple of hundred dollars' worth of DRESSES?

er....

Something you wanna tell us?

Curiouser and curiouser, first Neem, which is known to have medicinal properties, now Bijaysal, which I suspect is called a Kino tree in India, or a Pterocarpus Marsupium by botanists. If it is one and the same, that stuff is used to treat everything from diabetes to greying hair. Curious indeed, I'll let y'all know what I think of it as handle material when I get it, but I must say, these woods the kamis keep coming up with are some pretty special stuff.

Something I would really like to see is something with a blunt tip kind of like the Pen knife but with the spine having the smooth curve like the ganga rather than the angle of the Pen.

Sarge, if this wood actually treats all those things, I'm going to have all my blades Re-Handled!
Nice snag.
