WHOO HOO! Got it yesterday (dang fast shipping - 2 days to S. FL) and love it! What a beast of a (mid-sized) blade and came plenty sharp too! It is my sixth HI khukuri and first CAK and fills a nice niche in my lineup - 9" Baby AK, 13.5" Katunje Special, 15" BGRS, 16.5" WWII and 18" M-43. See how it fits perfectly between the Baby AK and the Katunje? I also took it out in the yard yesterday for a little fun and opened up a coconut with it (pics to come). I really like the black "coating" on the blade and the gorgeous Bayar wood handles too - gives the whole knife a very rustic look and feel. GREAT work by Dil and I am glad I pulled the trigger on this one!
Thanks for the welcome from you and everyone else on the forum. I am
still anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first Kuk, hopefully it will get here
today.
I am sure I will have many questions for the forumites as Kuks and
especially the Dui Chirra are new to me.
I was especially stricken by the graceful lines of the Dui Chirra and as I
plan to make this a working knive, hopefull the Dui chirra is a good choice.
